Daily Quote(part 3)

Thank you….here is my quote for today

A brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

`Nelson Mandela

Thought to ponder today:  Been reading so much about anxiety and panic lately…came across something yesterday that I think was my "ah ha " moment.
It said something to the effect that I have to be willing to accept and be at peace with the fact that I "may" die of a heart attack someday to fully understand and accept my panic attack. …hmmmmmm…interesting….. IF I always have it in the back of my mind..its my heart…I will never be able to calm my anxiety, understand and manage it.

my ..erm€¦pattern??

It seems to me that I am at my worst at night.

Usually starts like clockwork around 4 when I'm watching TV, knitting, making cookies, etc… thats what i don't understand…I'm not thinking about anything really.  My hands and mind are busy..

My chest feels tight and starts to squeeze, I yawn a lot, ill get a flash of hot or cold usually accompanied with dizziness, i can feel my heart flutter or start to beat quickly ( not a hard pounding but enough to notice it quicken).

At that time i will lie down and practice my breathing technique accompanied with my meditation music.  I will lie there for 10-15 minutes breathing.

It will calm down a bit but all night i have a squeezy feeling and feeling like I'm on the verge of an attack.  Usually, doesn't stop until i go to sleep.

Off to my family doctor today…hopefully he will help me this time instead of saying " here is some atavan".

A lot going on lately

4 days ago I started on celexa.  I didn't sleep for 2 days straight .
At 3:30 in the morning on the second night I started to have a horrible panic attack that I thought for sure was a heart attack and was having something like a seizure.  Hubby took me to the hospital and I was told it was from the drug and to stop it.

Now, my doctor has me on something like a sensitive that I only take at night.  I sleep like a log.

In the day I can feel the panic in there just ready to come out...boiling blow the surface ...but never full blown lately.

Think I am going to try and get through the night tonight without the sedative and see that happens....wish me luck

just below the surface

does anyone have a constant state of anxiety festering just below the surface?
My chest is always tight and i always feel like a panic attack is just in there waiting to rear its ugly head. I feel like i "should " take an atavan but don't really need one.
I haven't had a fully blown attack  in a while but its in there…..

Planning for the next Doc/Guru/etc appt

hmmmm…gasket with a space?? Typical gaskets or o-rings for plumbing don't typically have a space.  Perhaps its not the gasket at all but a problem with the threads on the wand???
As Davit said…don't over tighten ….usually just finger tight.

just below the surface

Actually, I am a very healthy person.  resting blood pressure is 102/68
i don't drink (no more than 1 glass of fabulous red sweet sweet wine with dinner), i don't smoke, i exercise and life weights regularly ( or at least i did before this anxiety became a problem over 3 months ago).
I stopped drinking coffee and wine over a month ago, cut out refined sugar and mostly all dairy. No red meat and low in fat…organic as much as possible.
I don't know what else to do diet wise to try and help myself…..
any who…wishing every one a very calm and happy holidays

What´s Cooking ?

I made a veggie tray, picked up a meat tray, shrimp ring, egg rolls and sausage rolls...having a guest over tonight.  The thought of eating the crap is making me anxious...almost like I can feel my arteries clogging as we speak.  I almost feel on the verge of a panic attack.  So maybe food makes me anxious....back to worrying about my stupid heart.  Why can't I have one day of mental rest?!?

just below the surface

I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had surgery three weeks ago to remove an ovary and the endometriosis surrounding the ovary.
My doctor told me that hormones in dairy could aggravate the endometriosis and it would be a good idea to eliminate .  thats why no dairy…that and the fact that i discovered its high in "bad" fat which doesn't help my heart worry in the least...
