You can do it! I have proof!

I totally agree...hearing about successes is so important.  Anxiety can be so overwhelming and defeating, so you truly feel like you're out of control and encased by it.  But, you're not.  Just being here and having the great attitudes that you people have (you all sound so positive) is an important part of ridding yourself of that anxiety. 
 
So, if we know that hearing about successes is helpful, why don't we try to do what Davit suggested:  "lets keep those posts coming even if it seems minor".  That is great advice, Davit!  It not only helps others, but also helps us to recognize that we are getting better and stronger!
 
Here's one of mine from Monday:  I was driving my kid to school, as it was my day off.  I took a route that I couldn't even think about in the past, let alone drive.  To top it off, I had a lot of nasal congestion, which always makes me feel foggy and therefore is a perfect storm for triggering attacks.  I started to feel woozy at one section of the road that makes me feel "penned in", but has an escape part that I used to use and therefore only fuel my panic for subsequent times driving that road.  Instead of using the escape, I keep going and reminded myself that I felt that way because of my head cold, not because of an anxiety attack.  I did some deep breathing, and relaxed myself.  It took almost no time at all for the feeling to subside and I felt back to normal. 
 
Okay, everyone....what's your minor / major success of the day? :-)

Starting a new week

Yeah Wrestler and Sunny!
You both made it through your appointments.  As frustrating as it can be to go through them (and to get lousy news, Sunny), there is always that silver lining that you are getting help and that it will make things easier in the long run.  
Wrestler: it is terrific that your wife is so supportive.  Give her some extra hugs for that! :-)
Sunny: Good luck with your BP appointment tomorrow.  No matter what the news is, you know that the Dr. is there to help you and you'll find ways to manage.

Myth Or Fact?

A big resounding DITTO to what Davit said. 
 
As low as you get, there is always a way to climb back up.  That anxiety is being caused by your reactions to things and so all you have to do is relearn reactions that are positive and helpful (not that it's easy to to, it does take work, but it IS do-able).
 
There's a good mantra: "I'm gonna be one of the 90%".  :-)

In response to your last statement, yes you CAN fall back asleep and if you keep facing this problem head-on and take charge of it, you will be able to have more restful sleeps like you used to.
That is great that you took immediate action and looked for help right away.  Many of us suffer for months or years and it's such a horrible feeling to have anxiety that it's not a rut that anyone wants to get into. 
Keep up the can-do attitude that you have!

Hard to say what´s normal and what´s not now

Wow, Phoenix, that must have been difficult to deal with.  I'll bet that one of the contributing factors to many of us who experience panic / anxiety is because we are worried about what others think of us (maybe why crowds, etc. are triggers).  But, to have a specific situation play out like yours did is indeed a stress-inducing thing. 
I would say that the tingly, light arms are definitely a reaction I get.  Also things like "numb teeth".  I find myself wanting to wiggle them and get some sensation into them because it makes me feel light-headed and therefore increases the panic if I pay attention to it.
I find that challenging the sensations helps to not fret over them.  For example, when your arms tingle, stop to think why that may be.  You soon realize that it's a normal reaction to being stressed / panicky and you can tell yourself that the feeling will go away in just a few moments.  Sometimes when we start to accept what is going on with our bodies during an attack, we can ride it out or rationalize it, rather than fearing it and letting it make the attack stronger.  It takes a lot of self-convincing that we're okay, and I've found that it became easier and easier to convince myself over time (i.e. I am NOT going to faint in the line-up). 
Hang in there and remember: some people (like your Mother-in-Law) will find fault in others, no matter what.  THEY are the ones with the problem, as it must make them pretty unhappy to dwell on the negative. Take solstice in the fact that you know how great of a person you are and if she can't see that, it's definitely her loss.

Pledge for the week

I like that part where you said that you won't push yourself too far. I think that's good advice for all of us!  When we set goals that are far-reaching and then don't meet them, we feel defeated, rather than feeling proud and successful at the baby steps.
Good luck with your flower bed.  Think of the reward of beautiful flowers!
 
My pledge this week is to get my blood tests done this week.  I have been 'subconciously' putting it off because they are just routine part of the physical and I keep thinking "oh, I'll do it next week when I have more time."  I do not like sitting around the clinic and I do not like blood tests even more, so I think I'll bite the bullet and get it done tomorrow (darn-it...it's a free day with nothing else scheduled, so I can't make that excuse! LOL).  At least the clinic I go to is amazing and they let me lay down for the needle (without even a sigh of annoyance!)  :-)

I personally LOVE the smell of tomato plants. They smell so earthy.  
Just think...in a few weeks, you can have a salad with fresh, sun-warmed tomatoes and cucumbers!
