Checking in to see my stats

Congratulations Pat, what an accomplishment!  I love it when I read posts such as yours to reinforce that someday I will maybe go one day without thinking of lighting up.  You're an inspiration to all of us newbies, there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Hi Carlos, glad to see you back!  I also slipped up a few months ago and had to start all over again.  I'm happy to say that I have surpassed the time I had put in before, and believe it or not, this time around felt a lot easier!  You can do this, just take it one craving, and one day at a time.

I was a smoker for 30 years.

Hi Scarlet, welcome!  Congrats on your decision to quit smoking!  It's the best decision you'll ever make.  12 yrs must a popular time to start smoking, that's about the time I started as well.

What has really helped me is remembering NOPE.  not one puff ever.  This program has been a great help to me, as well as all the inspirational posts from members who have quit for a while.  It's not easy, but you can do it!  Looking forward to seeing you around.

Good physical today

Way to go working on it!  You must feel so proud of yourself!  And I'm sure your dr. loved to see the improvements you're experiencing as well.  I loved reading this post because it puts quitting into perspective.  Some days when I get down I wonder why I'm even bothering to quit.  This is an excellent reminder of how much it affects your quality of life.  That is insane that your blood pressure has improved so quickly!

You mentioned that you have been having eczema flare ups.  I used to have it bad when I was a teenager but it went away. Funny thing is, over the last couple of weeks I have broken out between and around my fingers.  Maybe the smoking thing is just a coincidence?  Thankfully it hasn't gotten too bad.

Again, good for you!  Make sure you find a way to reward yourself!

on day 4!

Way to go Ironman!  I found the first 3 days to be the hardest.  It can only get better and easier from here.  Just remember, N.O.P.E.  It really does help to keep this in the back of your mind at all times.

Don?t forget about your private inbox!

Hi Ashley

I can't seem to locate this "private inbox".  There have been a few instances where I would have liked to send a private message to a member, but have not been able to figure out how to do it it.  Your help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
