Hey Scarlet!!!

Welcome to the SSC and congrats on your decision to quit and on completing 5 days so far!  Awesome!!  In 2 more days, you'll have the hardest part of your quit behind you and Hell Week as well!  Along with your kids, we're proud of you and will be rooting for you all along the way!

Stick close, read and learn and feel free to ask for help whenever you need it!  We have been in your shoes and have fought similar battles that you will be facing.  Keep on maintaining that Positive Mental Attitude and try to keep a smile on your face!  It will make for a much more pleasant experience than having negative thoughts linger!  The nico-demon thrives on those who that do not have a positive outlook!

Have a great smoke-free weekend and when it's over you'll be on your way to getting through Heck Week!

Hi Scarlet, welcome!  Congrats on your decision to quit smoking!  It's the best decision you'll ever make.  12 yrs must a popular time to start smoking, that's about the time I started as well.

What has really helped me is remembering NOPE.  not one puff ever.  This program has been a great help to me, as well as all the inspirational posts from members who have quit for a while.  It's not easy, but you can do it!  Looking forward to seeing you around.

I started when I was 12.  It's only day 5 but I feel very confident I can do this!  I also feel miserable lol.  But that will pass.  My kids are so happy and proud of me and I'm thankful they never took up the habit.  Without a doubt, this is one of the most important journey's I will make.  There are very few decisions that result in saving your life!  Wish me luck and i wish all of you luck as well.
