Hi Sous,
the idea of it always being this hard is very frustrating.
This idea only comes from the quitter. I am a lucky person in that I did not struggle with this quit as much as others.... this of course, has NOTHING to do with YOU. You're quit will be how you make it. Believe in yourself, feel the goodness of living a healthy lifestyle and incorporate nutrition and fitness into your daily life. It will change beautifully. The first two weeks is all about your mind and body getting rid of the bad and changing to a whole new life. My reason for this thread is so that even if somebody "seems" to have it licked, they have the gumption to KEEP IT that way for the rest of their lives. Work the tools on the left and go into your glove compartment to get your meter. Welcome here to the SSC where you will find great people and so much knowledge from many points of view. well done everyone. Commitment and reminders like yours help a new quitter stay focussed. I remeber quitting before and how easy I restarted and all the excusses I made why I did. I also remeber not so ling ago how badly I wanted to be smoke free. Thanks for wonderful posts everyone. I'll be watching for more. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/27/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 289 Amount Saved: $110.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 4 Mins: 8 Seconds: 25

Wonderful post CobenFan! You're right, we all make choices everyday. I'm so glad that I have people here who help me make the right ones when I don't really want to do it for myself at the moment. That was an exceptional post!!! Crave the Quit!
