Heck yeah Andy! The more the merrier! I even spent a whopping $1.36 to get a tape measure to know my waist & everything. That was one heck of a sobering moment, but I'm happy I did it - it's what I needed, and honestly - focusing on getting in shape is really good for distracting me from wanting to smoke! Hey fellow June Bugs - I've made it through ten days of not smoking!! I'm so proud of myself - and to celebrate my massive monetary savings - I went out and bought myself a digital scale today, to help me keep track of the healthifying of the rest of me. My lungs are happy - my love handles are not. Wish me luck on step II of the Jessy-Get-Your-Butt-In-Gear plan! I just want to say - GREAT JOB - to all my fellow June Bugs. I have to say I'm feeling REALLY proud of myself. I'm on my ninth day right now, and I just realized that at 10:25 a.m. it was the first time since I woke up at 6:30 that I even thought about having a cigarette. I don't know how people who go cold turkey can do it - more power to you - but this wellbutrin is saving my life! I've sadly put on three pounds, but, hey, it's worth it - because in a month or two, I'll have the ability to RUN again without having to stop and hit my inhaler after a half a block! Andy - I had almost the exact opposite thing with the wellbutrin (at first) - It made me not hungry at all - somehow quitting smoking seems to have reversed that trend though! I wish I could say it hadn't. I'm all about the Orbit gum - but I keep having to remind myself to drink lots of water. Here's to our ravenous appetites going away!

I guess I'm a June-but too!! Tuesday was my quit date - and I'm on my third day now. I've been really surprised at the fact that it's not as bad as it was in the past. I'm using Wellbutrin - I started taking it two weeks before Tuesday, and it's made a mad difference. Tuesday was AWFUL - it was a terrible, painful, complainy, whiny, stomp-my-feet and want-to-cry kind of day. But yesterday, it was remarkable how much better I felt. And today, it's almost like I'm a non-smoker. I was smoking a pack a day. Last year I had quit from January until October, when I started up again - and this time I've made the decision to quit for good. My one big problem is that I've got a SEVERE case of the munchies - I'm trying to just do gum, but it's hard. Yesterday I ate my lunch and morning and afternoon snacks all before ten a.m. - oh well, I can focus on dieting once I'm totally over smoking, right? Good luck to everyone else!!

Cheermom ... the Cliff Top Cafe is new ... it just opened today. After 14 smoke free days the cover charge is free to get in to the Cliff Top Cafe. You can then pick up your ticket to get on the Cruise Ship. That ticket costs 50 smoke free days. The Cruise Ship takes you to the Beach which you will hit at a 100 days. Look forward to seeing you at the Cafe! *waves* My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 39 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,190 Amount Saved: $156 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 8 Mins: 7 Seconds: 3

All you 'Junebugs' ... once you get through Hell Week & Heck Week ... there is a nice little Cliff Top Cafe waiting for you. (It is in the 'Avoid Relapse' forum) You can hang out and relax. As you progress from 14 days to 50 days ... you can pick up your Cruise Boat tickets there. Come on and join the 'May Company' for a drink & some conversation. It is nice and relaxing.
