NEVER TO LATE

16 years ago 0 27 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Sorry about the lateness of this response. You sound like a person that has a lot going on in your life and I'll bet that cigarette smoking is inconsistent with who you are and what you are about. It's so easy to put words down about what to do, but much more difficult to do it. So I will tell you that I am in your corner and you may write me anytime for encouragement and rah rah. As to my running it is quite good. I participated in a team realy in trails in Northern Michigan (where I am from) that included a six person team and we all had to commit to a minimum of 10 miles out of the 77. I ran two relays one of 6 miles and the other 7 for a total of 13 miles through the woods. I was exhausted, but our team finished in second place out of thirty teams. I am quite competive for my age and after 35 you get age consideration in a formula. The thought of somking is very foriegn to me now. Cigarettes Not Smoked

16 years ago 0 106 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi! It is really good to hear and learn from such long quitters! :) I'm still new in my quit and still am waiting to feel free of it but sometimes I still feel that eager to smoke and have to really control myself and I still feel my body cleaning from all of that I've been puting inside all these smoking years! So I long for the day I wake up when I'm able to smell and taste better all the things! And specially for the days when I no longer crave for it or at least when I won't crave so frequently! I'm still finishing my vacations and so I am still waiting for those days of stress and rotine! I know that will be hard so I'm preparing myself mentally for it and for the way to fight the cravings and everyone! (Some of my smoking "friends" although they are happy for my choice they don't believe it will be this time I'll leave it as they keep saying I've tried so many times... And all I can do about it is to show them that this time I REALLY want to make it!!!) so it IS wonderfull and it does gives us improved streghts when we see the oldies and see those big numbers, their experience and everything! :) And how is your runnig after the quitting? :) Many kisses from sunny-stormy Portugal! Cat (Sorry for the LONG message....) Nice of you to stop back in and let us newbies see long quits.I read in here somewhere that you don't change until you get uncomfortable where you are. I agree that smoking will have an adverse effect on your body. I am glad to finally be able to say.
