Duffis - Many congratulations!!!!!! Seems very FAR AWAY for most of us - really..... WOW. I just go one day at a time, like you did. I'm really glad that Mrs. Duffis, Foxy & JR are loving the smoke free Duffis! I think that's the part that made this whole thing worth it for me is the love of my family. I decided the day I quit that I not only wanted this for myself, but for them. Lead by example, all that good stuff. AND I want to be in front of them - not hiding out somewhere puffing away. Who wants to be the SMELLY MOM? Not me. I think my dog Casey hangs out with me more too (I totally am her favorite, since she's MY dog)! Words don't mean everything, the look on my Dad's face when he sees me still not smoking is worth a kewl million!!!! I am a parent, I know what Proud looks like. I am glad to have landed here when I did because I enjoy your posts, thanks for sharing with the class..... now you're at the head of the class! Bob- it is an amazing accomplishment and one you and Roxanne ought to be incredibly happy about. I think I got your "real" names right....seemed more meaningful to this type of post. If not, I apologise. Keep up the inspiration! Duffis - What an amazing man you are and what an amazing quit you have owned! Your support here is unfailing, your posts are thought provoking and your encouragement knows no end. Is it all worth it??? Is life worth living longer for?? You bet it is. I'm still trying to find my way in this quit. Still scrambling to figure myself out but liking what I am seeing as a non-smoker. Knowing I can hug my boys and I don't smell anymore...running with the dogs... helping someone else along the way...Hell Yes, it's worth it even when those dark days are overhead. It's still a cleaner world that I live in now. Here's to you, Duffis - Thanks! Duffis First Congratulations what an achievement! Quitting smoking worth it! Yes sir! I can breath so much easier and I worry so much less. All kind of benefits that make this quit worth it to me. I totally get the commitment and the pleasure that it seems you take in quitting and supporting others in their quitting. From the very first moment I wrote into this board I have felt supported and welcomed and honoured by you. Thank you. This post of yours today has brought me closer here, I was coming on to say I was going to go away from here. I question that now and I don't know. What I do know is how much I respect you and your quit, how much I appreciate you and your writting, and how totally worth it, worth my life it has been to quit smoking. Thanks Duffis Have a wonderful smoke free day!
