I suspect there are quite a few who lurk for a while before quitting. Terry, I wont be around tomorrow, so I wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you and your family and Shane and his. Just a thought, but smoking won't make it hurt any less, and it would still be a very nice thing to give in his memory. I know you would feel so proud of yourself. Reading this, it kinda seems like I am laying a guilt trip on you, but I sincerely don't mean it that way. I'm saying it to encourage you to value your life enough to do this for yourself and your family. I love you Terry - You are going to have decide before Saturday. The chances of Saturday being the day if you haven't decided before hand are probably slim. I wish you luck. Feeling very, very sad. Thanks Kelly I'm not sure if I'm ready for Saturday, only saturday morning will tell. If not then I'll start over and set a new date.

No. Not really. Not since I've been around anyway. I hope you are ready Saturday and if not then when you are...like everyone has said. But, I hope you are. You just have to do it, Terry. It's a lot easier once you get started than it is getting started. I hope the services are nice tomorrow and that you are feeling okay. Give Jeremy hugs for me and know that I love you both. Have there been people on here like me that chat it up and don't quit for a while?

I've read your posts, Terry! Just remember you're not alone. Continue to reach out! As smokers, we used to push our feelings in the background by smoking. When we're sad, it's an automatic reflex to grab a smoke. It's hard but so important to recognize how we're feeling and release those emotions - only then can we learn to deal with them in a positive light. I'm new here and just learning myself but I'm here for you too! Take good care! I find it very wonderful that I am getting all this support from people that don't even know me. Thank You! That is exactly what I plan to do. Everything you said.

Hang in there Terry! See how it feels Friday night! Just one step at a time! You need to let the funeral give you some closure. It is so much harder to see a young person die who hasn't gotten a chance to live a full life, and we don't understand why, but maybe his purpose is to be an angel watching over his family and yours! Trust that God has him in his arms, and that he is in a better place. Remember all the good times with him and it will help you heal the hole in your heart! Take a deep breath! We're here if you need us! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 338 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,450 Amount Saved: $3,565.90 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 10 Mins: 51 Seconds: 16
