Almost Nic Free

18 years ago 0 983 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Crossing my fingers for you Dunedad....and so excited that you are free of nicoteen. I honestly cannot wait to be done and have my body free of this drug....but I'm patient and working my patches. Keep us posted as to how your feeling, and I agree with the above advice....maybe just put a patch in your wallet JUST IN CASE.....I would rather you slap a patch on than smoke, and the addiction can be very tricky. Congrat's Dunedad and keep up the great quit!!!! 6 more days and we are on the cruise!!! WOOHOO!!! You go, Dunedude!! I know everyone is different, but when I went off the patch, I didn't really notice it. Today is my last day on Zyban -- been taking it every other day for a week or so. Remember a lifetime ago when we were talking about how the last time we felt normal was at 15 or so? Coming into my first truly drug-free mode since those wonderful years (I think Andrew Jackson was President then). Scary thought --- pete My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 52 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,627 Amount Saved: $286 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 4 Mins: 44 Seconds: 53

I don't have too much time right now...(who does?) I just wanted to let you guys know I am doing well without NRT. The craves that I get are the same as with the patch on...That will get better in time. I do have 2 patches left over though...I guess that'll be my emergency stash....Gotta go...the movie is cued up and ready---Kevin My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 918 Amount Saved: $207 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 12 Mins: 8 Seconds: 41

I forgot (again) to put patch on, on Tuesday morning. I went all day without it. Today...I decided it was too much of a hassle. And with that statement I knew I was ready. You see before come hell or high water nothing was "too much of a hassle" to make sure I had an ample supply of nicotine. So tomorrow is my 3rd day without the patch, as I understand after tomorrow I will be nicotine free......And I feel right about that. Way to go Dune - I have no doubt in you...your quit is solid. The patches will be there if you need them...but I think you will probably do just fine. (I have absolutely no training or psychic abilities - but I have watched your quit...and have been quit impressed) Windy My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 101 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,035 Amount Saved: $505 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 15 Mins: 48 Seconds: 50

I have been almost nicotine-free for several weeks now! :) I still use the NRT Inhaler occasionally, and I don't think I'm ready to give it up yet, especially during this festive season where there are so many parties , smiking , & drinking around ... Perhaps after the New Year, I would think again on this NRT aid, but not now! :-) Cheers, NMC My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 119 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,192 Amount Saved: $595 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 3 Mins: 34 Seconds: 32
