Hugs,

No and my battery is old too. I know it is getting weak but still starts the car even at very cold. I've never used the block heater. A question here, wouldn't the electricity you use to keep the battery warm soon add up to the cost of a new battery that you will have to replace sometime anyway. And you will have to if you forget to plug it in and it freezes. On the back roads in a truck a battery only lasts around four years. Pieces get shook off the plates and short out the battery. Don't buy a 900 cranking amp battery if 700 will do. They have the same case so the higher number battery has less room at the bottom for junk and shorts out sooner. I worked in a tire shop. Batteries in a car on paved roads last 8 to 10 years as long as you don't run it down and freeze it.
One other thing our lowest cheapest gas here is 86 octane. Some places in the states I have heard it is as low as 81 or 82. Cars don't start well on that in the cold. But then maybe they are designed different there so they will. I have friends that use mid grade when they go to the states.

It smells like fresh bread in here.

I'm going to make some bread tomorrow.  Bread is a comfort food, and it brings, I think "comfortable" feelings of the past to ease the uneasiness of life.  It's great to do when it's cold, since the heat from the oven makes the home, and kitchen warmer.

I've been thinking about buying one of those battery warmers for years, since my car is aging.  Do you use that, since you're in rural terrain, judging by your pics

Sorry it is cold there, it is unseasonably warm here. Just around melting. Not warm enough to ruin outdoor skating rinks and it is snowing a bit. I can't skate anymore but I could watch. The school here has a small rink every year. All volunteer work. The lights are supplied by the school which the residents own. A time out of the past. There are other activities like bon fires and skiing. They also get together to get group rates to go to a ski hill but that one costs. Lots of indoor activities though, some free. The nearest villages both have indoor ice and curling rinks, and racket ball. And a small gym. I don't use any of this because I have my shop. It keeps me busy.

But tonight I'm tired so I'm making a small procedure bigger than it is so I will do something else. There is no shortage of things to do since I am alone again. Making bread again, I can do that with my eyes closed.
I have a fire going but it is too warm so I will let it go out.

I'm probably doing it more often than usual, because I'm eating a bit more sugar, since it's so bitterly cold outside, and I haven't found many activities for winter

Often, but then I recognize what I'm doing.

Members,

This week we will be focusing on overgeneralization. An overgeneralization error happens when people make general conclusions based on specific situations. It’s making a mountain out of a mole hill.  For example, if somebody doesn’t smile and say “hello” right away, a person may thinks “they must be angry at me.” Another example would be if a person find themselves in an uncomfortable position and their heart starts to race, they begin to think “I am going to have a heart attack” or “I am going to faint”.

How often do you find yourself overgeneralizing? Today we challenge you to keep count with a pen and paper. Let’s challenge these and think or some ways to reverse these thoughts.

Don’t forget to post your results here!
