How to avoid Holiday Stress Part 2

11 years ago 0 1853 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Be realistic. It’s important to understand that families grow and things change. It may not always be possible to keep traditions exactly as they were. Accept that you may need to start new rituals and find new ways to make the holidays fun and enjoyable for yourself and others. If families can’t meet like previous year, be creative and take plenty of pictures and videos.  Your memories will last a lifetime.

Set differences aside.  Try to understand that family members will have differences and these differences may creep up with the stresses of the holiday season. Keep conversations light and avoid stressful topics until a more appropriate time.  Christmas is a time to be accepting, understanding and forgiving.
