Matt - that is awesome!  I use MyFitnessPal as well.  It is a great tool and helps to keep me on track with my fitness goals!  It is really nice to read about your successes!  Congratulations!

Hi Tompkoo1,

This is most certainly a success story! Thank you for sharing.

27 pounds is a big deal! Good for you. How does it feel being healthier and slimmer?

It is clear you have worked very hard; how have you celebrated your successes? You deserve to be present to all you have accomplished.

Stopped biting your finger nails?! Now I personally know that is tough. I still can't do that

Hi Matt,
Having an app is just the start...but sweating, committing, sacrificing separates you from the person who has the app and the person who "APPlies himself"

Keep us posted on other successes so we can use your momentum for our own small successes

ps.  If you haven't had a manicure/pedicure/body scrub..haven't tried the body shave since I don't like accidents and just read about an ancient rite in the 17th century turning boys into sopranos.  Spas are something which will be a wonderful reward for...maybe one of those workouts...or another goal

hey I am not sure if this counts as "success" but by having the panic diagnosis and spending now almost 2 years getting back to "normal" i have also been able to conquer other things as well:

1. I have an iphone. By using the MyFitnessPal app, i have been able to drop almost 27 pounds in the past 2 months or so. Down from 236 to 209.2. Still got some more to go but getting healthy physically has helped mentally.

2. stopped drinking non-caff sodas. I stopped drinking all caf sodas and coffee about 2 years ago. have had 1 12oz.non-caf soda in the last 40 days.

3. stopped chewing my finger nails. I know this is stupid but my whole life i have chewed my nails. Now i let them grow out and clip them. no hangnails and they look nice.

By dealing with anxiety, the process has helped me deal with other things I had been wanting to deal with for a while.

Thx for listening,

Matt
