Planted lettuces, radishes, parsley yesterday.  Did some weeding.  Started some clay lanterns.

Can't wait to get my plants in too but we have rain and snow....go figure snow in May, oh well.
I usually can't get my plants in till the May long weekend and often still have to cover the plants once or twice because of cold weather.

Oh! that sitting by the fire at the beach sounds like such a relaxing way to spend a day. Are you gonna roast any marshmallows???? I can just taste them now.

Hope you had an awesome time.

Yesterday
I got my vegetables planted.
I cooked a nice dinner and baked a cake for myself and my partner.
Today
I am going out to the beach to burn all the wood from the old fence.
We will be sitting next to a fire ring and roasting hot dogs and relaxing.
There should be a lot of activity to entertain us on the Bay, wind surfers, sail boats, and birds dancing in the surf.
It should be a beautiful day.

Have fun with your planting tomorrow, Red!
I personally LOVE the smell of tomato plants. They smell so earthy.
Just think...in a few weeks, you can have a salad with fresh, sun-warmed tomatoes and cucumbers!

Hi Red,
That's really great you did your exposure AND are getting better at it. Very inspiring. I would be mad too if the instructor did that to my piece! But you handled it very well and cool.

Red:  that was quite a class you had. You did awesome today.  Hard to imagine a teacher running out on a mistake.  I'm hoping she offers some compensation (?).  Hope it wasn't too much material which was ruined - I know it can get expensive. You sound very happy today and on top of the situation.

Red

You know that if you didn't ask questions I would worry about you. What did I learn today. Actually lots but not much that has to be stored in my brain box. I learned that there is an antique stove over the bank at one neighbours and that the other neighbour wants it. Dance lessons start this Saturday and run all summer. The contractor comes next week to put my siding on my garage. My neighbour now has two dogs. More important, he is going to fence and bring his mules home. Oh lots of things. The day is early, I may actually learn something worth storing. Oh yes. Do not cut vinyl siding when it is below freezing or it shatters. There is one to store.

The cracks on my heal are healing but because of the staph it is slow. I spent so much time in hospitals that they don't bother me. Mega exposure lol. It poured last night so the weeds will pop up in the garden now. I am tired but happy. Hummingbirds are back. Mosquitoes are gone. There is not much I can plant yet.

I have to finish my income tax. Then I have the parts to put my tractor back together. I need it pretty soon. So much work and so little body to do it with. Almost enough to cause panic. Busy enough to miss lunch again.

Good luck with your project and your search.

Davit. feeling hungry now.
