Where the Sidewalk Ends and Light in the Attic!  I grew up on Shel Silverstein...which leads me to realize what Miki's old avatar is...I think it was Miki who had it: "The Missing Piece Meets the Big "O"".

Yup, you are on dot, Cornish Dee.
You are the Giving Tree.
You guys know that story?
Shel Silverstein is awesome.

Dee:  Nope, your right on target.  You also have the same thought about the subject, I just needed to hear others say it...make sure I'm not going loopy with my logic.

Jhori im kind of the same as you about loving people more than myself . I would do anything or help anyone out if they needed my help . This has bit me in the behind many times and i have been let down and used . But i wouldnt want to change , its them who's sad and will end up lonely without friends . I can hold my head up high .
Think im right off topic again , sorry oops .

Aha, I like that explanation Miki.  I do know how to forgive, and the flaws are usually the best part to other people...at least in my eyes.  It's what makes a persons personality.

Everyone tries to be perfect in the same ways, but the imperfect...that's where you aren't trying to do it, and through this, your true self shines through.

I think once you love yourself, you can love another.
I think all these stages of anxiety helped me realize how much I'm worth... and I've never loved myself more! And I can appreciate all those around me too with this.

I bet you love yourself more, Joe... because once you love yourself, you know how to forgive. And everyone's flaws are not scary anymore.

Maybe that's one of my bad tendencies.  I love others too much, way more then myself.  I'd gladly give my last dollar to a friend who doesn't even need it, matter of fact...everything I do is for a smile.  I get my high off of it.  The greatest drug in the world, stronger then adrenaline, more hopeful then a Christmas list, greater satisfaction then getting an "A" in grade school...there's nothing like it!

I don't know, it really doesn't seem bad, and I get personal satisfaction whether or not I get gratification from the other party...am I going about the whole issue wrong?  I'd really love any feedback on this.

Members,
As you fall in love with yourself, you naturally get healthier. All the do’s and don’ts of health education can only build a house of straw unless love is the foundation. When you see love in operation in a relationship, you see trust, acceptance of the uniqueness of each person, understanding of differences, and forgiveness of failing.   Sylvie, Bilingual Health Educator
