Lorlee, Thanks for checking in. Happy to hear that your heart palpitations were not serious in nature. Keep working through the program and please let us know if you need any help. If you'd like to cut back on smoking or quit altogether, we have an extremely supportive sister site and program that may be of help to you: www.stopsmokingcenter.net Keep us posted. Thanks Diva and Isabella for your supportive posts. I'm still a little scared but am trying to challenge my thinking. I am hopeful that once all the tests are complete my anxiety about my heart will ease.

Loralee, Good job! I have had the same problems and concerns with heart palpitations and now you are getting it checked out and so you can stop worrying about it. That has to feel great, I know how great it felt for me! I am really happy for you because I know how scary heart palpitations can be. ~Isabella~

Well I went to the Doctors about my heart palpitations. He sent me for blood work and an ECG. I went today and got both done. I have to go end get a heart monitor to wear for 24 hrs. but I don't feel as afraid as the Doctor feels that the palpitations are not due to any problems with my heart but have everything to do with my anxiety. I will now focus on making lifestyle changes (less caffeine and chocolate :8o:,more exercise, cutting down on smoking) that will make me feel better.
