Question for the patch!

6 years ago 0 11215 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Sandykou,

I can understand your concern. Follow the direction on the package or speak to your local pharmacist for correct recommendations. Expect an increase in cravings while you are off the patch. Have a safety plan in place in case of cravings. How will you distract yourself? What can you use as a replacement of sorts? How will you manage uncomfortable feelings? Who can you turn to for support?

It looks like you would have been off the patch for a few days now. How are you feeling today? What did you decide to do?

Hello all! I am new to this forum and proud to say on day 6 on nicotine patch (step 1). And I am doing fine! I ahve a bit of a dilemma and your thoughts and experiences will be very much appreciated! My last step 1 patch is on saturday and, as they are not available here, I ahve ordered my step 2 patches but they will only arrive on MOnday evening. So although I am doing well, I am a bit worried. I had planned in my head that I will complete the whole programme before going off the patches and now these two days make me feel less conident. I know it's all in my head, but what should I do? Start the patches again after two days without them? Go cold turkey on sunday since circumstances have pushed this forward? Any help, support, thoughts are welcome as I ahve noone here to talk to who would understand! Many thanks!
