Sorry my friends, a minor slipped

Hi Folks. This thread reminded me of something and I thought I would share it for what it's worth. For my quit I used the patch and followed the directions religiously. I noticed that when I dropped the dosage (21 to 14 then 14 to 7) I felt the loss. Not earth shattering but I felt it for a few days each time I reduced the dosage. When it came time to go from 7mgs. to 0 I decided to leave the last 7 mg patch on until it fell off which it did 3 days later. Well ,I did not feel the drop from 7 to 0 at all.
Everyone is different of course and I do not recommend people stray from the prescribed program but that was my personal experience.

Congratulations Carlos on staying smoke-free for over 3 weeks...4 days wearing the same patch sounds like you are winning the battle against nicotine..

Hi there

Well, it has been more than 3 weeks since my last full cig ( I had one  minor slip, 5-6 puffs), I don't feel the need for nicotine and I just realise that I am wearing the same patch for the last 4 days.....I have not taken wellbutrin for a week now (horrible crying spells) .   I think it is time to let nicodemon go forever, no more patches, no drugs, just me and the devil face to face.

Hi carlos,

I just read back to your post on the 29th. I didn't realize you were 'breaking the rules" until you said so. Since I never used the patch or Wellbutrin, I don't know what the rules are. But I did break the nicotine lozenge rules, since that's what worked for me. Here's to sticking to the most important rule: Stop Smoking.

Carlos, JMK,

Great efforts, both of you, in maintaining your quits!

JMK: Will you be saving the $80 or rewarding yourself with a gift?

Please let us know. I look forward to hearing from you.

Keep up the great work! Its worth all of it in the long, I have $80.00 extra dollars in my pocket right now, and that would have end up in smoke! Cheers have great weekend!

Hi all

Let me say I enjoy the vivid dreams, nothing nasty or x rated, just weird dreams and when I wake up in the middle of the night, I remembered them like in a slide show.

I have had the same patch for the last 60 hours, the craving are manegable and am off wellbutrin and the doc gave me paroxetine. I have an appointment with my doc on wednesday and will talk about my feelings and stop taking any medication, but will keep the patches.

When feeling a strong crave, I just touch my patch and breath deeply for a couple of minutes

Yes I know, I am breaking all the rules to quit smoking .....but I want to keep my quit

Have a great smokeless weekend all
