Sorry my friends, a minor slipped

Snice is right. If you experience vivid dreams you should take the patch off two hours before you go to sleep.

If you have questions about dosage, etc. It is best to ask the advice of a Health Care Professional or Pharmacist.

Hi Carlos

I also get the vivid dreams at night from the patch.  I find if I take it off about 2 hours before bed, it's not as bad and I get a better sleep.  But I sure am cranky in the morning until I can get a fresh one on!

Hi all

Let me tell you my dilemma. I have 24 patches of 21 mg and the same quantity for 14 mg. That’s it,  so far I've been feeling great, except for a minor slip. I am wearing each patch for two days and feel no difference between the first and second day (except for the vivid dream the first day) . That´s the reason why I am planning to take it down a notch and try a 14 mg patch. I know I have to use one for only 24 hours and replace it.

Besides, I cannot buy them in my country

I know I am going against all the rules; my other choice is to finish all the 21 mg patches and start with the 14 mg and see.

I think no one has ever tried to do it my way but will accept any suggestions

Good to hear you're feeling better Carlos.  They don't recommend going to the 14 mg patch until you've used the 21 mg a full four weeks.  I really think you'll have better luck if you stick to the program and don't rush through it.  Give yourself enough time to adjust with not smoking first before you rush to the next step.

Hi Ashley and all

What I have learned from this experience is the next time I see my ex, don't smoke, drink ( a cola of course......?????) and ex will not see me with a cig in my hand  'cause will be an ex smoker.

Talked to my doc and he is taking me off Wellbutrin, getting something else

I will keep you all posted, getting closer to 3 weeks and thinking of changing patch to 14 mg.....

Hi Carlos,

Thank you for your honesty! Sorry to hear about the slip though. It's great to hear that you are still going strong in your quit! What have you learned from this slip? How will you prevent something like this from happening again?

Sorry to hear that Carlos, but put it behind you can keep right on going!  As working on it said, what better motivation then to prove somebody wrong!  When I get a strong urge to smoke, I log right on here and remind myself why I am doing this in the first place and read through some of the older posts and information.  I find they really help.

Take care.

Hang in there, Carlos!! Keep looking forward like you are but try to think of other things other than smoking you can do next time the stress really hits. I carry a few hard candies with me for times like this---no, not as great as a cigarette but when i am craving, the process of unwrapping a candy and having it feels like a little treat like smoking did. It gets me through the stressful times when people are really ticking me off!
