Hi Rock, thanks for sharing, I have some triggers coming up this week.. Great advice, step back and take a look. I am trying to come into this "quit" with an attitude adjustment as well.
There will be no more running to the car to light up... when a trigger hits. Almonds are good for you, they help to lower cholesterol..

NYC was fun, as always! Went to one of my favorite restaurants, AOC, on Bleeker in the West Village. I found this place years ago when you could smoke on their patio. I'm so glad the patio is smoke free now! It still amazes me the cost of smokes in NYC, and people are still smoking non-stop! I'd love to climb on the stairs above the TKTS stand at 47th and 7th and shout QUIT SMOKING to everybody in Times Square! My Mileage:

Kaiser is SO right - this is why your nickname is Rock - to show what you're made of. When everything comes at you, instead of finding the easy way out and just give in and smoke, you start analyzing your emotions, put them in check and then move on to the next step. Oh, let's not forget one other thing you excel at... rewarding yourself...
Great job Rock.
Keep the quit

Cripes what a nightmare! Good thing for the $2 almond vendors, they must've made a fortune that day for all the ex smokers floating around NYC
Don't you just love those 'I would've smoked three billion cigarettes by now but I no longer smoke!' moments?!? I think that's one of my favourite things about being a non smoker! Congratulations on another big victory.

Wow Rock, I almost wanted to smoke just reading that!! LOL kidding of course...your right though, smoking wouldn't fix it. That thought is always in the back of my head, but sometimes it doesn't make it any easier, sometimes its just discipline. You are a Rock, congrats on getting through one hell of a day.
