Hi Carrie,

Congrats on making it to Day 2 smokefree!

You are on the right track by listening to your body and engaging in activities that are relaxing and comforting.

As for the anxiety and fatigue you are experiencing, consider taking a B-Complex vitamin as these are very important stress and mood regulators and will help you with the lack of energy as well.

Stay strong and keep posting!

I just kept the nose to the grindstone and kept busy.  Less time for breaks, etc, gives the mind less time to wonder.  You'll make it through, and if you get overly tired, take a walk on a break, that will get the energy up.

Got through day 1 and feeling good this morning!  I'm not sure if it's because I didn't smoke yesterday, but I feel much more alert and rested today than usual.  My nose is really dry, as though I need some moisture in this house, but overall I feel fantastic.  No cravings yet this morning...so I'm still feeling strong! Cold turkey...well, unless you consider food a NRT!!!

For myself, I do have to eat the first week I quit.  I'm not overweight so I don't worry too much about the weight gain.  I cooked cheesecake and tuna casserole last night.  Good comfort foods.  Helps me to feel less deprived I think.  Also started a book I'd been wanting to read (reading helped me a ton last time) and watched a movie I'd been wanting to watch (Frost/Nixon, which was great).

I'm a little anxious about dealing with the tiredness more than anything today, since I do have to work full-time and have deadlines to meet. Any suggestions for that?

Thanks again for all the support!  What a great site.
