To everyone with these weird cravings recently - we made it and are still standing and we're not crazy nor are we going to give in. My sincere thanks to all who supported me as well as the others. All are an insight into why I have been feeling this way. And Peace, I am so glad to learn that you found peace by adjustment with the med.

Hey Boots and Trooper :)
I posted in this forum earlier "exhaled" and I'm doing
much better --- finally :)
Trooper I totally feel what you were feeling and it just
plain sucked big time. But luckily most of it all passed
around 2 p.m. today :) Sure hope you are doing better. Even
though you hear and read that this will pass sometimes it feels
like it never will. What scared me most was the ongoing craves,
never letting up and I just knew that this isn't right.. no
breaks in between.
And yes Boots, the change in the weather seemed to add insult
to injury for me.. but today was sunny .. YAY ! ! ! !
But look at all of you and your great stats.. SO proud of everyone
and SO SO grateful to have so many people looking out for me !
Time for bed.. and looking forward to celebrating 8 weeks smoke
free tomorrow :) :)
Love ya all !
Peace :p

Hey Peace. Sounds like your Monday and my Monday were pretty much the same. I hate it when I cry and don't know what I'm crying about. I cried on and off all day and for two hours after I got home from work. Now that I'm not so scared I realize I wasn't crying for no reason. I was crying because I couldn't have my cigarette. I was feeling afraid, sad, frustrated, just tired of the battle. I'm not used to dealing with my feelings without a cigarette in my hand. If you give the tears a chance they can really be a great release of pent up emotion. I handled today a lot better than I did yesterday. Glad to hear you're hanging in there. Hope the 14mg patch does the trick for you. Keep posting and we'll get through this.

Just got in .. being out for a few hours did me a world of
good !
While I was out I spoke with the pharmacist, gave him a run
down of the things I've been feeling. He had suggested that
being on the 21 mg patch a total of 7 weeks may be just too
much now in my system. I had stepped down too early at one
point and couldn't handle the cravings for a week and went
back up. He suggested to hang on to the 21 mg patches and
go on the 14 mg to see if the jitters and inner shaking I'm
feeling goes away. He said that maybe what I'm experiencing
is not a constant craving at all, instead, my body is
reacting to too much nicotine.
I am now using the 14 mg just to see if he is correct. At this
point I'd eat tree bark..lol.. to stop whatever is causing
me to feel SO outta whack ! I'll keep you posted.
Thanks again for all of your incredible support :)
Peace

Thanks Meg :)
O.k... I'm now heading out to the bank, grocery store etc.
I think that the walking, cool air and sunshine will benefit
me greatly!
I'm NOT giving in to the monster that's been on my shoulder !
I can't ! He's just lurking around BIG time and I WILL shake
him off and when he's down I have to stomp on him with all of
my might. I've come way to far to allow him to take another day
of crap from him. I'm feeling very angry right now and maybe
this anger will finally get rid of him altogether ! And as of
tomorrow I'll be 8 weeks smoke free and HE'S NOT going to ruin
this for me ! ! !
Wish me luck..off I go...
Peace

Hi Jim.. no, can't really think of missing something in
my life. Yes, I know the drill and I've been pressing hard
with all of my coping tools, deep breathing etc etc.
I know Jan, that nicodemon just rears it's ugly head to draw
you back but I'm into day 3 and it's still not feeling like
he's letting go. I also know that this will pass.. but when
the HECK will this happen??? LOL.. *kinda laughing and at
least not crying ..yet*
Thanks guys for your support.. I've got to just get through
this and keep moving! Going to tend to my chores, errands and
then I think I'll just hunker down with a good movie :)
and I'll just finish off with ... THIS SUCKS !
Peace
