Hi Woody, I hope you are feeling better this morning. I wake up sometimes with panic attacks and I don't know if I'm coming or going at times. Yesterday morning I had one and i'm still shakey this morning. But I think I know what the problem is, I eat too much chocolate! I love the stuff but I find every time I have too much of it I have an attack. I started taking Lexapro about two months ago and it seems to be working, but when I eat any thing with caffine in it I have a hard time pulling my self together. Relaxing when ever you can helps a lot and I had a cup of Green tea and that seem to help a little too. Debbie is right stay away from the caffine. Hope you feel better.

Hi Woody, I hope I can help you sleep tonight, I understand youre pain and fear. I started to have panic attacks about three years ago, they have gotten better with medication time and prayer. I had the vomiting and shakiness too, I always found lying down after putting some cool water on my face or with a cool rag and breathing helped, panic attacks are not pleasant Woody, remember they will pass the first few minutes are the worse and then they start to decrease. My Husband tries to understand but my family has not really been supportive, I guess when you do not live it you do not understand, I have a small son and try to pull it together for him, but when it gets bad I say "mommy has to lie down for 30 minutes" I lock the house up put a video in for him and try to let it pass. Do you take meds? I found taking a 1/2 of a 0.5 klonopin helped alot, Paxil helped me but I gained weight, I guess I was so happy the attacks stopped I ate and enjoyed it, it felt good after constant nausea and vomiting. You are NOT going to die, panic just makes you think that. I am going to pray you sleep tonight and rest and relax, it will get better Woody. Also I find coffee is NOT good for anxiety any caffine. Have some cheese and mild that helps people sleep. "This too will pass" Woody. Please let me know how you are doing and all the others on the site. Debi.

well i cant sleep so i might as well tell my story. my panic attacks started a 2 years ago.i am 28. i am married and i have a7 year old daughter.my panic attacks are terrible. my symtoms are blurry vison, poundingheart, throwing up,hot, numbness on my face or feet or hand.just me freaking out, thinking i am going to die.i have them at least 3 times a week.i went to doctors and hospitals cause i thought there is something wrong. all blood tests are normal.my husband doesnt understand. my family tries. i hate bothering them with the same story.i dont really have any friends.the panic attacks have stopped me from doing things i used to be able to do like working out at the gym. i have attacks there.something about when my heart beats fast scares me. i try not to drive at night that also scares me.i dont know ehere to turn? gina
