Hey Grin and all! I LOVE Shrimp Grin. I love ALL Seafood! We had friends in Kaplan, LA and used to drive down there every year to get fresh seafood and drive it back up here for the freezer. I'm also pretty good on the Grill myself! Anytime we have a family deal out here, I'm the one they always vote to do the cooking. I grill a mean Chicken Breast on a bed of steamed veggies covered in a three-cheese blend. I better shut up. I'm getting hungry! LOL! Thanks for the invite, and for the 30 day congrats! Much appreciated. 91 days for U?? U go girl! That ROCKS! I haven't had a chance to do much of a reward for the 30 day thing yet. Been alittle occupied...to say the least! When I get two minutes to breath I'll think about something for myself. I'll be glad to be able to get back to writing my music as well. Had a bon fire tonight which I enjoyed. There's just something about sitting with a good fire and enjoying the night sounds in the country. A hot fire and a cold Beer. Got to love it! Technically on my smoking I went from around 60-80 cigs a day to a pack to less than a pack and so forth until i just put them down. Cutting down was only fooling myself, but I think it did help me on the path to my full quit. Everytime I delayed in smoking a cig it enforced my belief that i could do this. So I did! LOL! Thank you for the compliments. I'm not sure such praise is warranted this early in the battle, but again, they are much appreciated. I'm not sure my story here will help your friend in her battle, but she is more than welcome to read it. I certainly hope it helps! One thing I can tell her or anyone for that matter is that with my smoking history and nicotine dependency level...I put them down. If I can do it, ANYONE can! If I can do anything more for her....or you, to help in this fight, just let me know. I tried to put a pic up tonight in my profile, but apparently it is too big cause I got an error message about the size of the pic. I'll try to figure something out. Just not sure what, or how at the moment! LOL! Yeah, I know I also smelled of smoke even if I didn't admit it. A person cannot smoke and not expect to smell like it. Breath, Hair, Clothes, ect. OK...guess I've rambled enough for tonight. Thanks again everyone for the kind words and thoughts sent to myself and my family! I hope you are all Blessed for it! But, I want her to read your story, O M G 80+ cigs a day to cold turkey, YOU ARE AWESOME!!! You are the man, do you want some shrimp with those grits?? I do know what you are saying about the "smoking smells" I was such an idiot, thinking I did not "stink" when I was a smoker. Good morning all, How is everyone doing? Feels like weeks have gone by since I last posted. Grandma's funeral was very nice. Services for Grandpa would have been yesterday or today, but he didn't want any service or funeral. It felt strange having to go outside the church to visit with cousins, ect., that were out there to smoke. With every person I hugged, the fact that they were a smoker or non-smoker was SSOOOO obvious. The strong aftershave or perfume to help cover the smoke smell, ect. BTW...I got several comments on how good I smelled, and that was before they knew I quit! Even people just walkin by were obvious as they left that smoky wake as they walked. I guess you can tell I'm still holding up fine. Had a few strong craves, but nothing that was going to break my quit. Still alittle tired, otherwise just fine. Thank you all so much for the kind messages left for me. They were all appreciated very much!! I'll be back later today. Oh, Danno, I am sorry you are having to experience such loss this week. I hope you are doing okay. I work in a field that puts me in the midst of people who are dying and I have come to terms with it in a way that most people outside of that environment don't usually experience. To me, it's a milestone in our journey. I usually see it as good thing; something we all experience eventually. I believe your grandparents are together and happy and there with you even if you can't see them. I agree with Singlepickle that maybe your grandpa was so in love with your grandma that he decided to go with her. Let us know if you need anything and please keep us posted on how you are doing. Big hugs! You can always look at it this way god knew they were soul mates and they needed to be together for ever that's how strong their love was. He doesn't have to wait a really long time to be with her. I know it's really hard on you and your family. Just know that the lord is with just lean on him for the strength and he will give it to you god bless and take care My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 960 Amount Saved: $144.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 5 Mins: 28 Seconds: 16

OMG!!! This is too weird. Just got word that my Grandpa passed away less than an hour ago! Grandmother's funeral is later today. Took him less than two days to catch-up to her! Life and death are concepts that are just too strange at times. WOW!
