Freedom!!! Freedom to enjoy after dinner conversation without needing to rush out for a smoke. Freedom to watch an entire movie on the computer nonstop. Freedom to not have to worry about being "set" for the evening with enough cigs before I get home. Freedom to leave my car window up for the entire trip in the rain or cold. These are just a few of the biggies. There are many more. The ability to run again. Twenty years ago I participated in many running events (10k, half marathon). I now am up to running 3-5 miles at a time, 4 times a week. My per mile time getting lower and lower. Reinforces that I am now a non-smoker... Many members have commented on the extra energy they gained. Some said their energy level did not change. One member commented that they thought their energy level remained the same (low), but they then discovered that they were not doing anything with the extra time they had. Once starting an outing once a day, they energy came back full force :) Extra energy it is!!! Josie, Support Specialist

My lungs fill more elastic as oppose to feeling like they used to, in-cased in a block of cement. Isn't it just great to be smoke free and how we feel about ourselves! With this in mind and since you quit smoking, what is the one most prized benefit you have realized so far? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/22/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 561 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 10,098 Amount Saved: $3,085.50 Life Gained: Days: 102 Hrs: 8 Mins: 25 Seconds: 24
