Solid as a rock you are...Now lets keep walking until we tire that old demon out...What do you say...Lots of people here to help you...They want you to succeed as much as you do...Just keep learning all that you can about the addiction...The more you know about this thing, the more motivated you will become and the more motivated you become, the easier it will be for you to become your new smoke free self...And thats what we all want to see...
Stay well there my young friend, your going to do this...

Congratulations Beren. You can make it. Just keep taking one step at a time. It isn't an easy journey but it is so worth it. I promise. I kicked, screamed and cried my way through the early part of the quit. Just don't give in.

Beren,
You smoked way, way too much and that is NOT good for you at all. I recall visiting medical doctors in their offices and they would have an ash tray there sometimes they would be puffing. They do not do that anymore. Last doctor I saw told me that the heart rate is lowered when you don't smoke and he also said the lower the heart rate the longer your heart will last since it is a muscle and like all things wear out. My heart rate was 90 bpm for decades, now in the 50's and 60's.
My point Beren you quit for 9 days so you know that you can do it. You have to get behind the quit and let the friends do their thing. We are thinking of you, Bernet; quit silently without saying anything to friends. Friends don't have to notice, we do here. I hope this message finds you before your vacation. Have a beauty!
Have to quit some day. No better than the present while we are aware of what we do. Do know that smoking kills big time; quit sooner rather than latter.
