There are people here who have the same situation i.e. smoking spouse or others living in close proximity...For better or worse that has not been my problem (there are advantages to being a reclusive loner)...Just kidding I actually do rub shoulders with other humans from time to time...
Perhaps someone who is living under similar conditions can speak more appropriately to your situation. However, I will tell you this...THIS IS YOUR QUIT...You must in some way seperate your spirit and will from anyone else in your life...They will understand your need for solitude in this on some level, especially if they are smokers themselves...If they don't, well, then it will just have to be.
You have set out on a wonderful and from time to time difficult road. The ultimate reward is more than worth the effort, however, there will be difficult times. You will be tempted to return to the old ways, but in the same moment you will be being reborn into new ways...Always pursue the latter course no matter how much your mind says to go in the alternative direction...That is just the junkie in you speaking...Never forget for one minute that we are all addicts, mired in a repeated behaviour pattern that has over come us in the past...This is your chance to be victorious, this is your opportunity to alter a suicidal course toward self destruction...
Seek your own freedom, the ones in your life that love you, will cherish you all the more for your resolve...
