Hi Kayla, Hang in their, you can do this. I know its hard, I was a 30+ year smoker and never thought I could quit, but I am on day 21 now and if I can do it so can you. We are all here for you, we support you. We can laugh with you, cry with you, whatever you need just say the word! Keep up the good work. Don't forget to reward yourself for your great accomplishment! (An icecream cone sounds good to me right now)! :):):) Karen My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 508 Amount Saved: $100 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 42 Seconds: 20

Kayla, it aint no fun... i remember on the 4th day of my Cold Turkey quit i coulda killed someone. If i've learnt one thing & thats if i ain't got nothing good to say i keep my mouth shut. Some days it's pretty quiet around this here office. As a non-smoker you learn to deal with & channel the anger. You're doing great, Kayla! And at day 4, you'll start to notice some changes soon. This WILL get easier. At least... you won't experience the intense phycical cravings for much longer. You're pretty much past that. Now it's the psychological stuff... the learning to live and think as someone who is smoke-free. That will take some time, but just remind yourself of all you'll gain, and how wonderful it will be to captain your own ship again. You're doing just super, Kayla! We're all behind you! Kayla - I'm sorry that you're struggling - but hang in there - you are almost through Hell Week. I can tell you from personal experience that it really truly does get better! Those first handful of days are real whoppers - and you made it through. So, keep doing what you're doing and using all of your supports and coping skills. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Well I've made it another day smoke free. I almost lost it at work today with someone that just had to push those lovely buttons we don't like pushed and I almost gave up. Luckily I have a great boss and I just told him I needed a break and took a walk to cool off. Like I said the support is there but I'm still on an emotional roller coaster and ended up crying like a jerk. I hung in there and feel better now. I also tried to go without the patch and put one on. I didn't even notice it fell off until I got home. I did learn from your great feedbacks not to wear the patch at bedtime and I'm finally getting some much needed sleep. Thanks for your support and genuine concern!!!
