I agree, the cravings don't just disappear after 3-5 days, if they did, there would be a ton of us who would've quit smoking a long time ago!
I'm also struggling with the psychological part of it - the habit part. Someone on this site reminded me that I was going through the motion of bringing a cigarette up to my mouth & puffing over 30 times a day. Multiply that by drags per cigarette then times the days in my life that I smoked...I've done that behavior approx 176,000 times (and my math is probably off)!!! YIKES! It's going to take some time to practice NOT doing something that I've done 176,000 times.
But, let me add this...it does get better and better each day. Every once in a while there will be bad days, but overall time really does help!
