I'm one of those who had to quit a few times before it "took". Although I do it 'one day at a time' now, it can be done. Funny thing is, I would have never known which "quit" would have been the one to "take", had I not kept trying.
Hang in there, rtchick, it gets better. It really does. One little thing that helped me in the early days was frozen grapes. But by far, posting on this site on a daily basis or as much as I could, was my saving grace.
