Any Suggestions?

I would suggest going and trying to make it to the meetings. I too have issues when it comes to meetings, I always try to get out of the meetings. I usually try and check out the meeting room first, for instance, closest seat to the door or window, if a window may open up for some fresh air if needed. When I think about these types of situations as going to a meeting all day I have already set myself up for a panic attack even before I get there. When I get panic attacks I sometimes cannot even walk around because I am afraid of passing out. Is it possible to pass out during a panic attack? Good luck to you, Breathe and think positive thoughts:) Kristine

Just do it!!! I wouldn't, but I have agarophobia. I always think if someone I know dies I will have to go to the funeral. No way! But you know what I figured out, just thinking about it makes it worse, once you get there you will be fine. Trust me, I go out only to the corner store and to bring my daughter to school a mile away. When I am driving to the store all these thoughts are going through my head, but then when I get in the store and start talking, I feel so much better. Those feelings go away. Do you have xanax? Just try it, what's the worst that can happen? good luck take care

I have to attend a business trip next week and my anxiety is at the point where I'm looking for any excuse not to go. I don't know how I'm going to sit through meetings all day. At work I have my safe places, but here I feel I'm going to be trapped. Sitting through these meetings is boring enough in itself, but for someone who has anxiety, it is torture. I know if I do cancel, I will feel worse about myself, but the anticipation of having an attack is making the anxiety worse. I know I can always excuse myself to go to the ladies room, but when in an attack, I don't like to bring attention to myself. I feel people know what is going on (even though I know they don't). I really need to make a decision soon. Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this?
