Is there anyway you can tell them you already had made plans for your family for that weekend and that you will visit them a different time?

Hi there, I am new here and I am only on week 2 of my 12 week plan. I just realized that I have panic attacks about 6 weeks ago after I was diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia. I have always had a fast heart rate (not related to PAs) and I finally went to see the cardiologist who did the whole work up and told me I have some sort of "reentry tachycardia." He put me on beta blockers and that has helped a lot. Since that time though, I have been so worried about my heart and my health that I started having anxiety and panic attacks. I have had a miserable 6 weeks until I found this site. Now I am starting to regain control of my anxiety, but just barely. Here is my dilemna. My inlaws live in Chicago and they really want us to fly there for the 4th of July (we live in CA). THey have built a little vacation house in Wisconsin and they want us to visit and see it and stay with the family. I am so nervous about the whole trip. I am not only worried about PAs but also how the trip will go now that I am on the beta blockers. I am worried that if it's hot and humid, I will not feel all that great (which is the times I get my heart palpitations as well as my real PAs). I would like to stay home and have my husband and 3 year old go but the inlaws want me to come so badly. Plus, I think it would be fun if I could just be less anxious. I don't want to tell my inlaws about my health issues either and I think they will be offended if I don't come. Any advice would be so much appreciated! Thanks, Katherine
