Hell week again?

I second what Nalu said, and use that sort of thinking when I'm in a tough spot. You need to remind yourself that you're really winning by not smoking because we all know that it's bad for you, expensive, and doesn't have one positive benefit. Yeah, I'm angry about getting cravings and the feeling unhappy at times, but I know it won't last and it won't be cured by smoking..... Hang in there.... I'm on day #10 and I thought the 2nd week would be easier. It's a lot tougher for me. Trying to change some habbits that are associated with smoking but some things you can't give up (working outside, driving alone, watching playoff baseball). Has the 2nd week been harder than the first for anyone else? I can't remember what day it was, but I remember getting very discouraged at some point during my second week. I think it can be harder because we are fully prepared for hell week to be "Hell". We aren't always prepared when those nasty cravings hit us smack in the nose after that. I still have "hell" days and I suppose there will be afew more. There will be many good days ahead so savour every minute of them. When the occasional "hell" day arrives, take good care of yourself and ride the wave. Wishing you a wonderful week three! Hey Miagi. It will be the toughest thing you have done, but it will also be the one that gives you great satisfaction and pride. I still have hell days now and then. You must remember to never let your guard down and always say N.O.P.E. This is the only way you will make it. CHOOSE not to smoke!! CHOOSE life!! CHOOSE freedom!! It does get better with evry passing day, but the road also has bumps and you must be prepared to handle them Hang in there and stay strong. The first 3 weeks were difficult for me. I got busy by educating myself, adding healthy things to my life, exercising, rewarding, and posting. Before I knew it, I had changed my life. Keep going ... it gets easier. In fact, being quit becomes fantastic. I will never go back to smoking. Not smoking is really LIVING!!!
