Hi all, today I went to my non-smoking help group session. When we started 6 weeks ago, there were 10 of us now we are 4. So we are the survivors. Next week there will be a lung specialist testing our lung capacity to measure the changes, she took 1 reading at the beginning (this should be interesting) after that we have a wine and cheese and our diplomas . Then we have a group meeting scheduled once a month with the oldies, these meetings take place in a coffee shop, so this will be very encouraging and a great follow up. With this site and my meetings I'm full equipped and should remain a quitter. :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 660 Amount Saved: $176 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 19 Mins: 16 Seconds: 51

Marie: Sounds like you have surrounded yourself with a wonderful support group. Sometimes I read your posts and they mirror my thoughts (Panic that the craves are going to last FOREVER, etc...) I am glad you are here. (((((hugs)))))

Sounds like fun Marie! What a great support group. I really want to hear about the change in your lung capacity. With your attitude, you are sure to remain a successful quitter. That does sound like fun. I regret not having a lung capacity test done before I quit, just to see what the change was. Oh, well. I do know I feel much, much better. :) Keep up the good quit, Marie.
