Started on Medication

Hi Michelle, I have just been through the same thoughts, todays my 9th day on Effexor and the first few days were really hard, my mind was extermly racy, I couldn't sleep at all for 2 days, I was dosing up on Xanax to help me deal with it but I must say that after the inital first few days I am getting heaps better and I am feeling much better about myself and the world, I am starting to remember happy times of the past instead of focusing on memories that we're not too plesant. The 5th and 6th day on Effexor I felt really speedy, I couldn't keep still, I frantically cleaned my entire unit and then my brothers entire unit and they we're totally both messy. My boyfriend teased me and said that he hoped I would stay racy so I would clean all the time. :) But today I don't feel so racy anymore, I am much more calm and am able to really get into some hard core expossure exercies as I do feel abit anxious still, however much less than what I was feeling 2 weeks ago. I'd like to know how your doing on Effexor? Angela :)

I went to the doctor's yesterday and began on medication, (Effexor). I feel a bit racy inside and did not sleep well. I know that some people have similar side effects and that after one week it seems to get better. I am hopeful that within a week€™s time I won't have any side effects. I don't know very much about the medication though. I was hoping that someone would like to share some of there side effects or successes with Effexor. I have started on a low dose for one week and increasing the dose after. Thank you for sharing.
