I just don't watch CNN, and am choosy about tv. eg. Someone says she just watches pbs & ecucational tv. With so many other things to do, I make an effort to get out, and be in social situations, rather than staring at a tv monitor. It took a long time, but I'm getting more comfortable with being out, and taking steps towards making friends. I have a long way to go. A lot of younger people just rely on their computer, but I've found I could pare my tv dramatically, and feel I'm better for it, by tracking weekly use, and finding activities outside, with help. It's not easy, and will take time, but coaching is important.
