I am sorry to hear you have been suffering with anxiety for so long. You have clearly fought very hard to get it under control. For many people anxiety does relapse often after treatment. It can be discouraging but many view relapse as a normal part of recovery. Try not to be too hard on yourself. The anxiety is not your fault and it is clear you are doing all that you can to manage it. You are doing the right thing by coming here and trying to get right back to your usual self. Will you be working on the program as a refresher? How are you feeling today?

Only the cognitive side of CBT can give permanent relief, but the behavioural side has to be done first to get to there and there in lies the problem. Programs run out of time or settle for coping. That is if you are doing it assisted. But you can do this one on your time with the support of the other members and take as much time as you want.

Hi Everyone

I have had anxiety and panic attacks for about 22 years now.  I feel like i have tried it all CBT, councelling, exercise, diet and medication. So far i dont feel anything has truly worked long term as i keep having relapses.  My anxiety has won again and got a hold of me and feeling quite irritated by myself i allowed it to happen again and worry more on the effect it has on others around me.  Sorry wish i could be more positive.
