Hi everyone, I am new to this forum {day 10). I have been reading the advice since day one and can't tell you how much I appreciate it. The past 2 days have been pretty rough though!! But, I remember the suggestions and the support! and keep telling myself this too shall pass.
Hi there, Just wanted to thank everyone for the support! I was sick and tired of being sick and tired!! Do I still get the craves? you bet! After smoking for 37 yrs.I never excepted this to be easy, I believe that's what helps keep me going ,also my reason to quit listis allways close by !!I start my day with a prayer for strength and end the day with a prayer for gratitude and others...Thank you again....One day at a time, not one puff ever!!
Hi Shannon, Glad your here! It looks like we're the same age and have been smokin the same length of time{ 37 yrs.} I had a melt down also while entertaining everyone at Easter! Thanks to this forum and the tools! Next time I will not over do it! The word H.A.L.T does come to mind HUNGRY,ANGRY LONELY or TIRED!! :)
Hey Astrofan, My son plays in tournaments also, and you reminded me of the times, when I would hide behind trees, walk way ahead of everyone and looking foward to the 18th hole! Now, it is so much more enjoyable, not only for myself, but for one of my main supporters....my son. As a matter fact his game has improved since I have quit, GEE....., I wonder why? :)
Hey astrofan, He's a plus 1 and travels to the NCGA Tourns.im CA he will be getting his B.A. in Sports Psychology/Kineselogy in May. And yes he is a non-smoker thank God!
