Well, Another day down, renewed with all these words of wisdom and encouragement, and ready to barrel forward. As always , Thanks to you all. Hell Week, Heck week, Blah week. When is Okey-Dokey Week and Alright, Enough Already week ??
Nonic, you hit it on the head with the "walking through mollasses". Even feeling all crappy I had to laugh at that one. Why is it that we know what we need to do, but have to have another give us a push once in a while???
I realized that I'm having a tough time with the Reward thing yet. Aloha, if I remember right, I read an old post from you saying it took you a while to wrap yourself around that idea. I think I don't see myself as a nonsmoker yet. I better change that.
Anyway, I kicked the lever in to 1rst gear Bear and off to work I go. I'll check in tonight. I am going to put on the baggiest pair of jeans I have and carry you all around in my back pocket for the next month so make sure you all shower and brush your teeth.
Gratitude -
Moss

Selfish and grumpy quitter Mercy. I seem to have rode that storm out. I read the "Embrace the Void" post that somebody bumped up. Brilliant!! I think there was quite a bit of that going on those few rough days. This is the first time I ever made it past a couple days so all these phases are quite a surprise. I seem to have gotten some of my WOOO-HOOO back. Have been reading, writing, thinking, and getting on with it.
I believe it's time to switch focus and stay on guard.
Gratitude,
Moss
Have been having some really great dreams, but that's another thread.

Welcome Azure, there is a lot of knowledge, encouragement, and wisdom here. I know what you mean about offering advice, I'm having trouble with that yet. I think if you just post your experiences you are being helpful for others and yourself. Be ready for the unexpected.
I'm also in late 40's and 30+ smoker.
Good wishes

Hey Ginette, Have been following your journey. Glad you are sticking to it. I can't believe all of the twists and turns but on we go.
I was thinking about; Mossette. Naw----doesn't sound good for a guy. Give a yell when you need to.

Hi Nonic and good day to you. I can't tell you how important your insight and thoughts have been to me the last few weeks. Please stay with me on this journey. You have a gift and a way of hitting the bullseye with me. I promise to pay it forward.
Aloha, I read the bump on Rewards. Thanks!! Hope you have a good weekend with your own Mossman.
Also to Martha, Tresa, Mercy, Kelly, Lainey, Doodles, Stickin to it, Anna, 1939Bear, Sparky, Sue in NC, Danielle, and all of you who have helped me along so far. A HUGE Thanks. I am beginning to feel like a NON-smoker and I think I have seen a few glimpses of what you have all so eloquently shared.

Hey Ginette - Hang in there. I know that each person's experience is unique but try to fall back on the experiences of the others here. The mental aspect of this can be a bit tricky, to put it lightly. Do whatever you have to to find your way through. If it helps, remember that we are walking beside you.
