Kayla's new name

Hi Everyone, I've set my quit date for 7/16. The day before my surgery. Most of you remember me as Kayla and I gave up a quit of 70 days over my temper and stress. I tried again a couple of times and wasn't mentally ready. Anyway my goal is to quit the day before surgery and in NY state you cannot smoke in the hospital and I won't be in any condition to walk outside for a smoke. I'll be staying with my mother for the week and she doesn't smoke and is very supportive. Unfortunately she doesn't have a computer but I'll figure something out. I have been preparing mentally for this and feel pretty good about it. I won't have the stress from work, boyfriend only my 14 year old. I'm glad to be back. I also wasn't able to post for awhile because of a glitch with the site. It's fixed now and I'm back!! Kayla's new name

Thanks for making me feel welcomed back. I missed reading the post and mostly being a non smoker!! I have catching up to do. I wasn't able to log on for a few weeks and was desperate to be able to read and prepare for this quit for the last time. The stresses are still there but in reality there is always going to be stresses. It's life and it's out of my control so I'm learning to accept it and deal with it without smoking. My attitude is better than it was I just hope it stays that way!! Great stats Nonic, Kita, and Alohakeia !! Someday I will be where your at!!! Times three

Hi there, This is my 3rd attempt after blowing a 70 day quit. It's day one for me today. I've been on Chantix for 2 weeks now and my day started off with a bang when someone tried to log onto my computer and locked me out. Considering I'm the only one in the office til 8:15am nothing was accomplished except for my craving shooting up. I didn't smoke but it hasn't been a great day and it's early yet. Wish me luck.... Times three

Thanks for the support and I missed alot of you too... I made it through the day and now onto day 2. It's been much better today and less stressful. That has been my worse trigger and hopefully I'll handle it better this time. This Chantix has been working pretty well except my stomach hurts all the time oh well. It's worth the help quitting!! Welcome Aboard

Hi Stranger, I'm back!!! I missed you!! Things were crazy for a while but I've quit and for good this time. I'm using the chantix and it's helped out alot!! My head is in the foggy stage but I know that'll pass soon. Actually I really haven't had many cravings except yesterday morning at work. Anyway I'm really impressed with your quit and you are a strength for me knowing why you quit and how it can be done!! How do I use the face book? My daughter is more familiar with that and I'm lucky if I can get on my computer at home during the week. She lives on it. Here's the update since last I was here. My surgery went well and so far no signs of cancer. My daughter is now on medication for Hypothyroidism which finally explains why the moods and her being tired all the time. All in all things are better and we're getting along better. I let loose the rope and we battle less. It's less stressful. I'm just really glad to be back and missed the support as well as the friends I made here. It's Nice to see alot of you are here and have great stats!!!
