Hi Freedom26
Not really sure how to join a group but I quit in November. Maybe this is how it starts and you'll get responses from other November quitters!! We're doing great though and I'm looking forward to a smoke free Christmas for the first time in 30 years!!

I haven't been on in awhile with work being really busy and my daughter glued to the computer at home, but I wanted to check in! I am so looking forward to this year and making positive changes in my life. I've already started by not smoking and I'm going to take that cruise I talked about on my first quit. Time to take care of myself and do what makes me happy. I wish all of you the best year ever!!

Hi Aloha,
I'm planning on a Carribean cruise with other non smokers sometime in March. I could use the break and warm weather. Now it's just a matter of what to do with my 15 year old. Maybe a convent for a week will work :eg: I would never hear the end of it but it might wake her up a bit LOL

Hi Laura
Welcome and congratulations on your quit!! At times I will crave when I first get up especially if I have a smoking dream or get my cuban temper up, but don't cave in!! Not even one puff. Your doing so well on your own and the feeling will pass. I give you alot of credit and admire your strenght. It will get easier. Do whatever it takes to distract the thoughts like shopping (my all time favorite) reading, go out for lunch, anything that doesn't involve smoking. Remember this is the addiction we are fighting against and it can be done. Hang in there!! Are you using any kind of nicotine replacement? Don't hesitate to ask for help and before you smoke come here post and wait for at least 7 replies. By then the urge will pass.
