I read where a few people mentioned a ring or a token of some sort that they carry with them to help remind them. I found my 24hr chip from when I quit drinking 9 years ago it is now back in my pocket. I rub it when ever I am having a hard time. It helped alot before and it's helping again this time. Along with the little prayer "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference". Hard to believe that thing has any letters left on it. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 103 Amount Saved: $15 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 12 Mins: 3 Seconds: 39

Congradulations on your quit. I had tried zyban in the past and it actually worked pretty well . It blocks your nicotine receptors and reduces your cravings basically. You just find you don't have a taste for them so to speak. It also helps you not be depressed and anxious. It has worked well for several people. Personally it made me feel a little to wound up and not myself I couldn't stick with it. This time I am using Chantix and am not having any wierd side effects, seems to be working well so far. I am on day 5 and feeling pretty positive. Trying again!

I am currently using Chantix. Actually I have been working on quitting for a month. I have tried cold turkey, the patch, lozenges, all natural stuff and hypnosis. So far this time is going better. I have also made sure I have a safe place to hide with no stress or worry when I need it. My son is also 21 and out on his own.

Who are the Febuary 07 Quitters?

Not sure how I missed this thread so nice to see. Coming to end of week three. Yesterday was kind of a tough one for no apparent reason but made it through and everything is better today. Hope all is well with all you Feb. quiters!
