Hi Legend and QuiltTrip! OK, let's get it started! We're missing a few of our non-smoking friends...Try Again should be right here with us, along with Changing, Tutti, rtchick, and others that we haven't heard from in ages. Glad to see you are both doing well, hope more of us proud non-smokers will check in to brag about our accomplishment! So happy to know you are both doing so well. Congratulations to both of you on this happy occasion...enjoy your anniversaries which are just around the corner. I'll be looking for you! :) Isn't it great? Being a non-smoker is everything they said it would be...and more! Stay well and stay quit! :) xoxoxoxoxox Nance My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 181 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,430 Amount Saved: $877.85 Life Gained: Days: 25 Hrs: 7 Mins: 40 Seconds: 46

Time to PARTAY!! You guys are doing great! I'm having a blast. Didn't even think about having a smoke today until I remembered that it must be close to MomMom's anniversary. Can't say I really want one. Congratulations Febrularians! We have made it to the six month milestone! I hope we all have fabulous rewards planned. Personally, just the idea that I have not smoked in 6 months is its own reward! I still have the thoughts occasionally, but they are easy to disregard. I don't ever want to go through anything resembling hell week again! I was on vacation out of state this past week, and saw that my favorite brand was $6 per pack! Outrageous! I only paid about $4! If I lived somewhere different I would have saved even more. LOL! I also saw the inconvenienced ones who had to stand outside of the establishments who no longer welcome smokers inside. That used to be me...puffing away as quickly as possible, usually alone, and then stinking to high heaven! It made me appreciate my quit that much more! I hope you all are doing well. Check in now and then to say hello and to brag a little bit! :) Nance My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 178 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,340 Amount Saved: $863.30 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 22 Mins: 18 Seconds: 33

It sure is good to see folks still holding their quit and coming up on the six months milestone. Being a non-smoker is proving to be much easier than being a smoker was. The urge creeps up once in a while, but not strong enough to keep my attention. See you at the 6-month party! ~Mary My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 162 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,916 Amount Saved: $891.00 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 15 Mins: 55 Seconds: 29

Legend - I can relate - I've found quite a few summer triggers. The "cravings" are more like longings - less sharp/intense than cravings. And you're right - next summer will be better! I'm going away on vacation for 2 weeks (yea!). So, I'll check-in the week of 8/20 -- I hope more of the February Gang is around to celebrate our 6 month anniversary together! Until then....wishing you all good health & happiness! Yay, good to see Tutti is hanging in there! Been dealing with the I-wanna-smoke-on-the-boat thing this summer. I never realized how intricately the two were tied up, but it is a history that goes back over a generation. My earliest boating memories are of my Dad (long dead of lung cancer) at the helm, smoking, and looking contented and happy. It's not that the wants (they aren't really craves) are going to upset the applecart or anything. It's just having that buzz in the back of my head makes it a lot less fun. Oh, well. It will be a better boating season next year. One more major-league trigger to beat up this fall, early winter shouldn't be too hard, and then we'll be over a year and pretty much out of the woods, I figure.
