I think I mentioned before, TryAgain, that you might be suffering from anxiety (with or without depression). And I think you were taking Wellbutrin/Zyban which increases anxiety. You really might want to look into switching to another med that will help ease your anxiety. I don't know if this is a well known fact, but a psychiatrist who deals with these drugs every day told me that.
Hope this helps and hope you are feeling better soon.
How about trying a warm bath or even treating yourself to a massage as a reward for hanging in there even through these down times?
Also, try watching a funny movie or comedian on TV or read a funny book (look in the humor section at the bookstore). Laughter will make you feel better automatically and you may forget some of your stresses, even temporarily. :)

I'd be interested in a mentor. But I have some specific preferences. I'd like a closet smoker who smoked less than a pack a day because they'd understand some of the feelings I had/have coming into this quit.
If this describes you, let me know by post &/or IM.
Thanks!

Same here - using Chantix and quite happy for the most part. Even my kids haven't made me particularly crabby lately. LOL

Hi Tennielle. I'm using Chantix too. I don't know if its the Chantix or the quitting itself, but I've been tired a lot too. I lie down to rest/nap every chance I get!
I've seen several other posts on the board indicating others have the same tiredness. I think we need to nurture our bodies as they heal from the damage smoking did.
Keep going strong!

Aah. I am enjoying all the chocolates! Must be why I feel so good. I'll have to go dream about new tunes for tomorrow - Chantix do your stuff (please - I think I'm the only one who hasn't really had the dreams!)
I'll prob be on a bit tomorrow - I think my little one will be home sick from school. But she's only 5 and can't read yet ... so I can check in with her around!
Do you think this thread is getting too long? Will they shut it down? We may need to start a new one! LOL We're getting popular!

Welcome Pea. You've come to the right place for support. It's been suggested to me that channeling anger (such as you feel toward your still smoking bf right now) toward the nicotine addiction that put you in the position of smoking in the first place is helpful. Be angry at the addiction that's keeping your bf smoking and making you struggle to beat it.
(Did I get that right, Faith & Pat?)
Keep at the quit!

There are a number of us here who are using Chantix and it is pretty amazing. But remember to stay on your guard. Even with Chantix you can suddenly be hit with a really strong craving and the "demon" can try to get into your head. So... be prepared, have inspirational thoughts, gum, straws, sucking candies, etc on hand and use these boards for help and support as often as you need to. :)

Ok Captain, here's some MoTown music, lyrics adjusted a bit.
"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When its cold outside, I've got the month of May.
I guess you'd say, 'What can make me feel this way'?
My PALS, My PALS, talking about my SCC PALS, My PALS"
I gotta run now - school pick-up in a bit and a busy afternoon schlepping the kids around! But I just blew off stuff this morning and went back to sleep after they went to school! Yeah. Felt good.
Be strong everyone!
