Hard couple of days...

Yeah they have subsided they now just come and go for a very small amount of time usually I just eat a few jolly rancher fruit chews or chew some juicy fruit gum to get through the cravings or go for a walk :) But expect to have a few days of really hard cravings after coming off of chantix for a few days but just think you've made this far and having one smoke will make you start all over again its so not worth it :) gl to you

58 days smoke free :)

Hey guys it has now been 58 days since my last cig and I have found the cravings going away day by day :) while their have been times i've thought about going to the store and buying a pack of smokes I always remind myself i've made it this far and even if i have 1 puff ill go back to smoking like I did before I quit. I can already tell I have a lot more energy now also good waking up in the morning and not having that nasty feeling in my lungs. I hope all of you guys are doing ok in your quit attempt so far, and if your trying to quit dont give up you will get past those in due time :) Well ill talk to you guys later just wanted to let you guys know how I was doing and gl to the rest of the members on this board!!!

What saved your quit?

For me it was thinking that i've made it 80 days and if I just have one I will break this great streak and would have to go through hell week and all that horrible stuff all over again... Sure I get cravings and even some bad ones sometimes but I will not give in and become a smoker again I like living a healthy life and its a ton better then having to worry about dying of lung cancer at a young age :)

Unstanding Cravings

Yeah i'm a little past the 100 day mark myself and for some reason the cravings have been pretty darn bad the past few days but I didnt cave in . I've also been off chantix for about 3 weeks so maybe its my brain thinking its not getting the chantix anymore and now wants the nicotine feeling again. But instead of going to the store to buy smokes I got a pack of nic gum instead to help me get through this kind of hard stretch of cravings... which I thought would be gone if i've made it this far but I guess not :( But I will not give in especially after making it this far I would really be hating myself if I did.
