Auntie.....
Welcome to the Cliff Top Cafe
You can purchase your Cruise Ship tickets right over there. They cost 50 smoke free days to board.
I'm really excited about the cruise. How about you?
We have been through Hell Week and Heck Week. It is time to relax. So come on in and take a load off.
Relax here in the cafe, overlooking the ocean ... waiting for our ship to come in.

Hey Correen,
I was the same on and off before i quit, mainly when it was humid. Are you breathing through your mouth or through your nose? am asking this as i have chronic sinusitis and a deviated septum so it really effects the amount of air i am able to breathe in through my nose and it gives me the sense of not being able to get a full breathe, makes me feel like im gasping sometimes too. When i breathe through my mouth im fine.
It is frightening but as you see other members have experienced this also.
You're on 22 days, thats awesome :)

Hi Peppermint,
You are doing so well. :)
One day at a time, i had a thing for these mints called eclipse. i popped one under my tounge everytime i got the urge to smoke. They come in a pack of 50 and are just a little bigger than a tic tac. I went through nearly 2 packs of these a day in the first weeks lol. It sure did help tho. :)
Beleive and it WILL happen.

Hi Mom,
34 hours is awesome :)i like the stress ball theraphy, imagine how strong your hands will be after this week :) Love your girlfriends theory,
My girlfriend said i should just cut back instead of going cold turkey as i could harm my body this way.
Spoken like a true smoker. I quit cold turkey as did many of the lovely people on this site and im still here!! In her defence tho, she just doesnt want to be left out there all alone.
I dont want to sound awful but it may be best if you avoid your girlfriend for the first couple of weeks to keep the temptation away. Its hard, its real hard and unless you have the mindset and KNOW you wont touch a cigarette then i strongly advise you to avoid any situations that will jeopardize your quit.
If you need to talk, vent anything just come here and post, read and post.

Hi Frogger,
You have to beleive that you will suceed, i know its frightening its a whole new change to your life, you are letting go of something that perpaps has been with you for a long time.
I dont think i really want to do this, but i know i have to
I think you really DO want to, you are here right :) Use positives, not negatives.
How are you planning on quiting? Patches, tablets or cold turkey?
I went Cold turkey, the first week really was very hard but i wanted to quit more than i wanted to smoke. I was determined never to pick up a cigarette again - ever. Being at day 25, i know i never will.
How long have you been a smoker and how many do you smoke a day?
