breaking free..
I feel your pain. This is my 3rd day without the 21mg patch..
I am using the gum as i need it, but this is so hard,
At 2am this morning my son woke up ready to play (he is 7)..
While i am looking for a tape for him to watch. I find overdrafts in the pile of mail on my bar.. this is for my business..
All i wanted to do was go buy a pack.. I am so glad i did not have any in the house..
I laid in bed telling myself that a cig will not fix this problem.
I got through the night.. but today was tough.. business was slow and i spent most to the day dealing w. my company check book..
I would love to lock myself in my bedroom, watch movies and sleep-
BUT with 3 children it is so hard to do.
Maybe I should go to the movies
so sorry to ramble.. what a day.
thanks for listening
PS
friends usually let you down at some point in a friendship
they are just human..

darn
Put the patch on for 10 days.. did not like it..
I have been chewing the nic gum (about 6 a day) for
2 days.. OI has been okay, not easy but okay..
Just look at it as one day at i time or wait 5 min. before
you do anything to fix your craving.. Every day has gotten
easier for me..
I have never quit for more than 6 days.. Ususally I TRIED TO
QUIT w/ cigs in hand.. it did not work that way for me...
good luck

hope you made it..
The first week I hated everything about my life and my poor children were the ones that suffered..
Walk, sleep, drink, nap ........
Do whatever it takes,
YOU CAN DO THIS

lots of luck to you
I did not prepare for my quit..
I just got mad at myself, put on a patch, then started looking for support. This sight has been great.. Mr. Coffee & I sit at the computer a.m. and late p.m. just to get through another day.
My husband is still smoking outside!! His cigs. locked in his car at my request. He will quit in his own time, I HOPE.
All I can worry about right now is my quit.
I actually had my first grown-up drink and did not smoke.. I may survive!!

great attitude!!
Just look at it by the hour..
Don't let it appear bigger that it really is..
You can do it!! I find if I find something to do when the craving hits that i can not possible do w. a cig in my hand..
like the dishes, the clothes, play basket ball w. the kids, a nap!!
I quit the patch 3 or 4 days ago and I am using nic gum when i have to have it.. I would like to just give that up too. It has not been a piece of cake, but it is easier than i ever believed.. I really thought i would go MAD!!!
I am a little angry at the world..

i have one of those hubbies..
he has NO intentions of quitting
He travels during the week so we really only see each other sat-mon am and i try to ignore that he is sitting in my favorite chair out back smoking...
He is supporting my quit but we really don't talk about it. I have no one but you guys to discuss this with. My friends that smoke certainly to not want to talk and my other non smoking friends have no idea what this is like.
I guess we have to this for us and only us and not to worry about anyone else today...
