I never thought of anxiety that way. I thought anxiety and depression were two separate diseases, like a broken toe and an inner ear disease. Somehow, your suggestion changes this....
I guess I never realized that this site would have it all. I am going to restart this program here. I haven't been feeling too good lately, very worried, stressed, etc. A funk I guess.
Everything you need is right here. This is a free site and a good one. You could spend a lot of money on CBT only to find it is not CBT. A lot of practitioners have no first hand knowledge, they are just using a book. You could do that too. But it would have to be the right book. Lot of wrong books out there.
It really boils down to changing negative to positive. That simple. The hard part is recognizing negative, accepting it is there and changing your perception of it since it will always be there.
That is what all the homework is for. To show you the way. CBT works but all the steps are related and have to be done in the right order.
I think that CBT is a great thing but how can I get that help? The courses here are not free and I don't know if I can get my husband's insurance to cover anything.
Some things are very simple it is just us that makes them difficult. Not always intentional, but that is the nature of this beast we deal with. I wish it were not often so. Life would be a lot easier.
