Woooohoooo!!!! You did it! I also have a friend who still smokes and early in my quit she wouldn't visit. She still doesn't visit much, but when she does she has to go outside to smoke! Well done, Steph! She didn't smoke in your house did she? That's a no-no for guests for the future - always ask friends to step out into the garden or onto the balcony if they have to smoke... My Godchild, my niece, came for supper yesterday, and she went outside three times for a smoke - putting her coat and boots on and off without complaint. Think of your Quit and avoid occasions of temptation. I have a dear friend who hasn't come to my house since I quit three months ago because it's been so cold here in Ontario and she can't/won't go outside to smoke... I have to meet her in the supermarket for a chat nowadays - still too cold for her to go outside!! Steph, you are doing great!!! Yes, it does get easier. Just remember your "sunshines" when the craves get rough... they are so proud of you! Also keep in mind that you don't want to start over. If you smoke even 1 puff you will start all over with the roughest craves. The craves get less and less with each one you make it through! Hang in there, you can do this and we are right here with you! Hi Steph---congrats on getting through hell week....wooohooooo You made the BIG hurdle ;) This quitting thing does take perserverence and resolve--but keep reminding yourself about all of your reasons for quiting (not going through hell week again can now be added)....and YOU WILL DO THIS.... Read and post as much as you can--both can be really helpful. Stay strong, remember NOPE--& keep your eye on the prize.....
