Rainey, Good job! Changing those old habits will serve you well. Also be sure to find some stress busters. A walk, listening to music, journalling perhaps? Keep persevering! Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

I wanted to say thank you to everyone as you are such a great help and inspiration. Darn Stress, I keep getting cravings now that don't seem to want to go away, I am tryng to keep busy and they do eventually subside. I notice that they are at the same time of day and I am working at changing the old habits I have become so used to doing every day. It helps to keep busy and I know I am getting stronger and healthier every day. Hey, I too am a new member. I have just been looking and reading everyone's posts for the last couple of weeks and sometimes I think that is what gets you through and realize you are NOT alone and NOT going crazy in this journey. Congrats on your 30 days Rainie! Am not sure about eh Wellbruten but am sure another member will help you with that! I am a patch user and am about halfway thru my program. I am sure that there will be a few days of discomfort at the end, once the nocotine is really out of my system. I am learning that its tough, but a person has to feel these emotions and let them go. Glad you are stopping by, this place is so very helpful. Make sure you keep us in mind if you have any stress over that new job, we are all here to help. We March Quitters are trying to hang together in a thread in the Stats Parade section, it really helps to have a quit buddy whose going thru the similar things that you are. There are several others on Wellbruten. Hello Everyone, Just checking in as I have had a couple of rough days. I have made a career change lately and will be starting a new job in mid-April so that may have some bearing on the stress level. I still have the times that I would like a cig but I know now that it does pass. I am wondering what it will be like after I no longer am taking Wellbutrin. Does anyone have any info? I have enough of the drug to last me for 3 months and I am hoping that most of these "wants" will be less frequent. any help or info would be great! Hello Everyone, I have just joined. After smoking for over 30 years, my quit date was March 7, 2007 and I am using Wellbutrin to assist me in my journey. So far, so good, Cross your fingers for me as I am not sure what is to come.

Welcome, Rainey! You and I are probably at a very similiar place, as I quit March 6th. I used the patch though, which was also helpful. I also smoked for over 30 years. About 35 actually, and a pack a day at that. I'm glad you made it here, Rainey. I think our chances for long-term recovery go up when we have a support group such as this one. It's so easy to lose perspective and become discouraged when you're on your own, but to come here every day and to see that people are actually beating this addiction, and to hear how they're doing it... is encouraging, and empowering.
